Cattle from Wagon Creek Creamery are 100% grass fed / grass finished. The cattle are in a rotational grazing system moving around the farm to dine on a variety of forages. They continue to graze the pastures during the winter dining on a combination of cool season forages and standing hay. In the rare event of a heavy snowfall, we will roll out bales of hay for them to graze since they cannot reach the forage. No grain, even in winter.

Our cattle are never given hormones or steroids.

Wagon Creek Creamery dairy and beef cattle graze a variety of forages as they move around the farm. They leave their natural fertilizer behind as they go from one area in order to graze the next. This rotational system allows plants to recover and prevents overgrazing. Because the pastures are well managed, our small farm can provide forage for significantly more head of cattle than a conventional farm that simply turns cattle out for continuous grazing. Wagon Creek Creamery does not use any chemical fertilizers or chemical herbicides on our farm.

Pastured veal calves are raised by their mothers and have free access to mother's milk and fresh pasture for their entire lives. Wagon Creek Creamery cattle are 100% grass fed; neither the mothers nor the calves are ever fed grain.
